I am once again on a personal journey-to Portugal this time-to walk the Camino de Santiago from Porto. Ihad randomly planned to visit Portugal-this country has been on my bucket list to visit ever since my dearest friend Lawrie Ann's brother went and studied there at the University in the late 80's. Listening to Chris talk about Portugal, I vowed one day that I would go and discover the allure and beauty of this country. My first plan was to combine my love of travel with what I find puroseful-Charity work. However, finding something that I could volunteer for proved to be a challenge especially since I knew no one when I first started to plan for my trip.
God, however, had other plans. About three or 4 months ago, this Camino de Santiago kept surfacing in my planning-first very innocuously then sort of aggressively like-hey-are you thinking about this? If you know me-you know that I have walked all my life-first when I was very young with my grandfather and now-for the past 8 or so years, every morning with my friend Sharon and our dogs Peppy and Sally. I hope you follow my attempt in the next month or so as I not only attempt to walk 232km but also get a chance to explore Portugal. I am not sure what will happen but one thing I am sure-this is going to be transformational. Stay tuned!!!!!
